Licenses & Permits
License and permit applications are submitted to the Big Bend Village Hall, open 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday- Friday. Application forms are available by download below or at Village Hall.

Wisconsin state law requires all dog owners to obtain an annual dog license from the Village Clerk. The cost of license is $10.00 for a spayed or neutered dog and $15.00 if not spayed or neutered. An additional $5.00 will be assessed if the owner fails to obtain a license by April 1st or within 30 days after the dog becomes 5 months or age or within 30 days after acquiring a dog. Four or more dogs require a Hobby Kennel license ($50.00); you will also need to license each dog individually.
Park Use Permit
Permit approval is required to reserve or camp at the Village Park. The permit fee is $50 with a $100 refundable deposit. There is a $10 fee for electrical use in the pavilion/shelter. There is a $20 fee per night for camping. There is a $20 fee for a beer permit.
Peddlers & Solicitors Permit
Door-to-door solicitations is prohibited without possession of a valid Solicitor’s 10-day permit. The permit fee is $150.00 (except non-profit) and $25.00 for each additional vehicle. Applications must be submitted with a copy of photo ID for each seller showing their date of birth. Likewise, individual “stands” are prohibited without a possession of a Peddler’s permit. Applicants will need to turn in a notarized application, copy of driver’s license, and a copy of a server’s certificate or a valid license held within the last two years from another municipality. The cost of licenses is $50 for two years, with a $15 fee for background check. A Provisional Operator’s License may be requested at time of application and issued by the Chief of Police at their discretion in order to serve prior to the issuance of a bi-annual Operator’s License. The fee for a provisional is $15.00 for 30 days.
This permit is for individual use of fireworks on a single date and location. A separate application must be completed for each day requested. The Village of Big Bend requires an indemnity bond or policy of liability insurance taken in the Village pursuant to Wisconsin State Statute 167.10(3)(e). The use permit fee is $35.00.
