Recycle Corner

Communities in Waukesha County have a variety of ways collectables are collected including carts that must be placed at the curb for collection. Recyclables should never be placed in plastic bags.
Carts collected curbside should be:
  • Placed so the lid opens towards the street
  • 6 feet from trees or cars
  • Does not have overflowing material or extra material on top of the lid
  • Recycling Dos & Don'ts
Recycling pays. Based on Big Bend's level of recycling (view 2023 Snapshot) some of the environmental and monetary savings include:
  • Landfill Costs Saved: $9,120
  • Trees Saved: 725
  • Gallons of Oil Conserved: 3,247
Hats off to our Community!! Keep recycling!!
